Ashtanga Yoga For Beginners- Four Week Series

Ashtanga is a style of yoga that was brought to the West from the East and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois. This practice is a systematic sequence of flowing postures linked together by the breath. Intended to be practiced daily, the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series will surely brighten and strengthen the light that burns within each practitioner in unique and vibrant ways.  During this class, we will work on a specific sequence of postures (asanas) linked with breath (pranayama) and movement (vinyasa).

This beginning level Ashtange course will be delivered to students in a safe and encouraging way. Use of props and hands on assists will aid us in appropriately getting into and out of poses effectively. Modifications will be queued and demonstrated so that practitioners can archive their goals and access sequencing that will build a stronger practice over time.
