The neck and the shoulders have a lot of responsibility. They need to hold up our head with our precious brain! They also may bear the brunt of a lot tension whether it is from sitting at a computer, having to bend over a lot throughout the day or simply driving, often the neck and shoulders can get very tight and worn down.
There are multiple skills and habits we can cultivate in order to help us prevent the occurrence of neck and shoulder discomfort or pain, and to lessen those flare-ups when they occur. In this workshop, Ga-Hsin will help you explore many stretches for the neck and shoulders as well as the inner workings of the shoulders. We will also look into shoulder stability and its importance for weight-bearing poses. A handout will be supplied.
