Dawn Hammer, LMP (lic#MA 60243345)

I started my journey with massage five years ago offering medically-oriented treatments within a fast-paced, clinical chiropractic setting.  While the vast variety of clients that I worked with during that time allowed me to learn, practice and perfect myriad treatment options that I may not have been exposed to otherwise, it wasn’t long before I became physically burnt out and a little disenchanted with the very Westernized notion that the body is the body only, and that is all I was expected to “work on”.

Throughout the course of my career I’ve come to believe that there cannot possibly be a separation between body, mind, and soul.  If you begin working with one aspect, you inevitably connect with and begin healing the others as well.  And this connection is where my real passion for this profession lies.

I utilize a number of differing therapeutic and relaxation massage modalities that I offer in combination with one another to give each and every client a truly individualized treatment that focuses specifically on what the whole of you needs in that particular moment.  Areas of restriction and pain in the muscles and their underlying structures are addressed in a way that is respectful to the body while also allowing the potential for full healing to occur.

Whether addressing an old injury, the acute onset of a new symptom, or simply allowing space for the body to rest and rejuvenate, I invite you to come feel the difference of receiving a massage at Gnarled Roots.  Here, the symptom is not believed to be separate from the cause. Together, we can untangle the roots of your stress, pain, or discomfort and help you return to a state of holistic health.

I am available by appointment only between the hours of 9:00am and 6:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at my studio on West Main St., and Fridays between the hours of 11:00am and 6:30pm in the Healing Arts space at Yoga Soleil, both located in downtown Puyallup.

Please call, text, or email for more information.  You can also connect with me via Facebook, Google+, or MassageBook.com.
